Between July 2022 and June 2023, the Towns of Andover and North Andover undertook the development of a Community Health Assessment (CHA) and a Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP). Health Resources in Action (HRiA) conducted the work for both communities. The CHA analyzed community data, the findings from a community survey, and insights from various stakeholder focus groups. This information was used to shape the CHIP, which will guide public health services in the upcoming years. Given the similarities between the two communities' results, they will collaborate on response plans.

The CHIP focuses on three key areas: Mental Health Across the Lifespan, Affordable Housing, Diversity, Equity, and Sense of Community. The provided links lead to documents that offer guidelines for addressing these critical public health issues. We encourage the public to review the CHIP specifically and provide feedback on the proposed plan. Is the plan adequately addressing the raised concerns? Should the approach be rearranged, or is it logically structured? Are there any other issues the Board of Health should consider?

Information about upcoming public forums will be announced soon. However, comments are already welcomed via email at CDPHealth@andoverma.us.
