This week, GivingTuesday is a chance for nonprofits to galvanize fundraising, rally volunteers, and add momentum to their causes. If you’re looking for a way to give back to your community, here are five Andover nonprofits that could use your help.

Andover Community Services provides basic needs support, advocacy, and referrals for income-eligible Andover residents. They are in need of non-perishable food items, gift cards, and winter coats and gloves. You can donate online or drop off donations at their office at 97 Main Street.

The Domestic Violence Project offers a 24-hour hotline, safe shelter, counseling, and legal advocacy to survivors of domestic violence and their children in North Andover, Lawrence, and Haverhill. They are in need of winter clothing and household items like towels, sheets, and dishes. You can donate online or drop off donations at their office at 16 Haverhill Street in Lawrence.

Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity partners with families in need to build and improve places they can call home. They are seeking volunteers for their construction projects as well as monetary donations. To learn more about volunteering or donating, visit their website.

The Salvation Army’s Andover Corps serves the town of Andover with programs like summer camp, an monthly food pantry, and weekly worship services. They are in need of canned goods, personal hygiene products, and new or gently used winter coats and hats. You can donate online or drop off donations at their office on Essex Street.

Wayside Youth & Family Support Network provides mental health counseling, substance abuse treatment, family support services, educational programs, and more for children, families, and adults in the Merrimack Valley. They are in need of gift cards (gasoline, grocery stores), Hygiene Products (toothpaste/toothbrush), pajamas of all sizes (new only), and diapers sizes 4-6. You can donate online or drop off donations at their office on Racebrook Road.
